Facebook has deleted 712 accounts and 390 pages in India and Pakistan for “inauthentic behaviour”, it said on Monday, many linked to India’s opposition Congress party days before a national election, and others related to Pakistan’s military. Facebook has come under increasing pressure around the world to ensure its social media platform is not abused for political purposes or to spread misinformation. As financial insecurity rises in urban India, so does investment in insurance

Up to 58% of them fret over financial independence post retirement, which is a 4% increase from last year. An equal share of urban Indians worry about meeting their daily medical expenses and sustaining their current lifestyle once they stop working. The findings are part of a survey published by Delhi-based Max Life Insurance in association with London-based consultancy Kantar. The firms surveyed 7,014 respondents in 25 cities, including six metros, nine tier-1 cities, and 10 tier-2 cities, between December 2019 and January 2020. Business Line Macrh 01, 2019 SEBI cheers investors by cutting fees for brokers, bourses  Unveils new norms for valuation of money market and debt securities by MFs An investor will now have to pay less with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) deciding to lower the fees collected from stock brokers, stock exchanges and companies that plan to get listed. The SEBI board, which met here on Friday, also approved changes in norms for valuation of money market and debt securities by mutual funds.
