The sectors that have been under stress pre-covid include NBFCs, power, steel, real estate and construction among others. Corporate sector debt worth a whopping Rs 15.52 lakh crore, or 29.4 per cent of the banking sector debt to the industry, has come under stress after  Covid-19  hit India and lockdown was imposed across all the states since the last week of March this year. The KV Kamath committee, which worked out the financial parameters for loan restructuring, has said banking debt worth Rs 23.71 lakh crore, or 45 per cent of banking sector debt, was already under stress before Covid-19 hit the economy. Exports rose 9.5% in dollar terms in August from a year earlier to $235.3 billion, the third-highest level on record, customs data showed. Both the value of shipments to the US and the bilateral trade surplus were at the highest levels since November 2018. China’s exports have defied expectations this year, growing significantly faster than global trade due to strong demand for Covid-related goods.   The Wire Dated: September 08, 2020 By: The MHA suspended FCRA licenses of Ecreosoculis North Western Gossner Evangelical in Jharkhand, the ECA in Manipur, Northern Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jharkhand and NLFA in Mumbai New Delhi:  The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) this year has suspended the licenses of six non-governmental organisations (NGOs) under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), 2010, of which four are Christian associations, according to a report in  The Hindu . An FCRA licence is mandatory for a non-profit organisation to receive foreign funds. The four Christian groups whose FCRA was suspended are Ecreosoculis North Western Gossner Evangelical in Jharkhand, the Evangelical Churches Association (ECA) in Manipur, Northern Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jharkhand and New Life Fellowship Association (NLFA) in Mumbai. "Five of the convicts were given 20 years in prison and another three were jailed for 7-10 years," the official  Saudi Press Agency  said, citing a spokesman for the public prosecutor. None of the defendants were named in what was described as the final court ruling on the killing which had sparked an international outcry.  HINDUSTAN TIMES DATED: September 07, 2020 BY: Kran Pratap Singh The special cell team had been intercepting telephonic conversations of an illegal arms supplier based in Uttar Pradesh and keeping a tab on their activities for the past few months Delhi Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two suspected members of the banned militant outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) after a brief exchange of fire near Nirankari ground in north Delhi. Police said the suspected BKI members had come to Delhi from Punjab late at night on Saturday to collect a consignment of illegal arms and ammunition. At least six rounds of fire were exchanged between the suspected BKI members and the police personnel. Six pistols and 40 cartridges were seized from the arrested duo, who have been identified as Bhupender alias Dilawar Singh and Kulwant Singh.
